Let NC By Train Get You to The Rock for the Return of NASCAR!
Planning a trip to Rockingham Speedway for the return of NASCAR in 2025? Skip the hassles of traffic and parking, take NC By Train to The Rock on Saturday, April 19.
The “Rockingham Special” will run for one day only between Raleigh and the Rockingham Speedway with stops in Cary and Southern Pines.
Passengers will access the race grounds through Gate E adjacent to N.C. 177, which is just a short walk to The Rock.
The morning train will depart Raleigh Union Station at 9 a.m., Cary at 9:15 a.m., Southern Pines at 10:28 a.m. and arrive in Rockingham at approximately 11:06 a.m.
The evening train will depart from Rockingham at 7:30 p.m., arrive in Southern Pines at about 8:08 p.m., Cary at about 9:21 p.m. and Raleigh Union Station at 9:36 p.m.

- Food and beverages including alcohol will be available to purchase onboard.
- Spacious coach class seating is available each way.
